Why is this animation the best?

This animation is the best because it is the logo of the store and reinforces the image of the company.

What does it do that others may not do?

Its not in your face and its just a little side note to show you that you are shopping at target. The commercial is fun and attention grabbing through the use of music and the dancing and seeing these two college students setting up a dorm room.

Who is the commercial targeting?

The commercial is targeting possible future college students and target shoppers in general. 

Does the animation make the commercial effective?

Yes because the name is never said in the commercial and without the animation you would have no idea what the commercial was for.

How is the animation used?

The animation is used wisely because it is the last impression you are given before the commercial cuts off. After seeing a fun and entertaining commercial you will see the Target logo which will leave you wanting to go to that store.
